Invitation: Human rights action in Munich (February 15)

German politicians must not remain silent on China’s crimes!

On the occasion of the visit of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to the Munich Security Conference, the Society for Threatened Peoples (STP), the Ilham Tohti Initiative, the Uyghur Community in Europe, and the German Tibet Initiative (Tibet Initiative Deutschland, TID) are calling on German politicians to clearly address the genocide crimes against the Uyghur people and the compulsory boarding schools in Tibet. The organizations are organizing a joint rally on Saturday. You are cordially invited:

Saturday, February 15, 2025,

from 11 am to 1 pm,

at the “Reiterdenkmal” (equestrian statue) in Munich, Odeonplatz 4.

“Mr. Scholz, Mr. Merz, demand Wang Yi to enforce the closure of forced boarding schools and a reunification of the Tibetan und Uyghur children with their parents,” demanded Hanno Schedler, STP expert on genocide prevention and the Responsibility to protect.

Enver Can, President of the Ilham Tohti Initiative, added: “As a rival system, China is trying to replace the current world order with its own. The Communist Party of China is a threat to human rights. Thus, China should be excluded from the Munich Security Conference.”

“China is a threat to the democratic and free world order – committing genocide crimes against the Uyghur people, persecuting the Tibetans and the Mongols, and threatening the people of Hong Kong and Taiwan. What is such a state doing at the Munich Security Conference when it is itself a security risk for the world population,” asked Asgar Can, President of the European Uyghur Community.
