Deportation of five Uyghurs to China is a violation of human rights!

China puts pressure on Pakistan:

The Society for Threatened Peoples (STP) raised serious allegations against Pakistan on Wednesday. "The Pakistani authorities deported five Uyghurs to China – accepting the fact, that the refugees might be imprisoned for years or even sentenced to death in the People's Republic," said the STP's expert on questions regarding Asia, Ulrich Delius. "This is not only inhumane, but is also to be seen as a serious violation of human rights." As has turned out just now, Pakistani authorities flew out the Uyghurs – among them two children and a woman – to Urumchi on Tuesday.

"Obviously, Pakistan is trying to appease the powerful neighbor and even abuses innocent children for political purposes," criticized Delius. After last weeks terrorist attacks in the Uyghur city of Kashgar – located in the northwest of China – the Chinese government sharply criticized Pakistan. Beijing accused the Pakistani authorities of not doing enough to fight Uyghur refugees and suspected supporters of armed Uyghur organizations.

Chinas unusually harsh criticism towards the long-term ally in Pakistan had caused quite a stir. A spokesman of Pakistan's Foreign Ministry hastily assured, that his country would by all means continue to support China in fighting "separatists, terrorists and extremists". Just one day later the chief of the influential Pakistani intelligence agency ISI was sent to Beijing to confirm it´s solidarity with the Chinese leadership.
