Germany's strategic partners are enemies of human rights – Wahhabists from Saudi Arabia spread terror

Sharp criticism on Chancellor Merkel's justification for arms-exports to Saudi Arabia:

The Society for Threatened Peoples (STP) in Göttingen criticizes what Angela Merkel, German Chancellor, had to say about the sale of German tanks to Saudi Arabia: In Monday's evening news on ARD she had justified the planned sale by citing the strategic partnership and the country's importance for stability in the Gulf region. "Almost all of Germany's strategic partners – like Russia, China, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Brazil – are enemies of human rights," said the head of the Asia & Africa Department of the STP, Ulrich Delius, in Göttingen on Tuesday. "It would be a serious mistake to allow arms exports to these countries simply because they are strategic partners."

According to Delius, Saudi Arabia's Wahhabists are to be seen as a major threat to world peace. The Islamic fundamentalists travel to conflict regions in Africa and Asia with suitcases full of money to radicalize previously moderate Muslims and to spread terror. As early as in the 1990's, Wahhabists had started campaigning for the construction of new mosques in Uyghur settlement areas in Central Asia and for an armed struggle of the Uyghur against China's reign.

"The Saudi Arabian Wahhabists are responsible for the situation in which radical Islamists are in control of two thirds of the African country of Mali – a situation that the Federal Intelligence Service called ‘a threat to German interests’ last week”, said Delius. To the chagrin of the Tuareg, the Wahhabists invested a lot of money to have new mosques built in northern Mali. They are also largely responsible for the radicalization of the Arab population. .

Saudi Wahhabists are also responsible for new escalations between radical Muslims and the authorities in Ethiopia. To stop the irresponsible activities of the unwanted instigators from Arabia, the authorities had issued restrictions of religious freedom for the Muslims – which had caused massive public protests. The insurrection by Ethiopia's Muslims is threatening to destabilize the Horn of Africa.

"Saudi Arabia provides financial support and weapons for the Salafists, the most radical group of the radicals in Syria. They are trained and educated in Turkey and then smuggled into Syria," added the STP's expert on questions regarding the Middle East, Kamal Sido. "They are a serious threat for the non-Muslim and non-Arab minorities."

Wahhabism is the official religion in Saudi Arabia. The government supports Wahhabist organizations from all around the world and does not oppose of their aggressive proselytizing activities.
