When we in the Society for Threatened Peoples think about the future we ask ourselves what we can do for the peace and safety of the coming generations. We are cast our gaze to those areas where people are suffering and faced with grave violations of human rights: for example to Africa in the Sudan or to our European neighbours in Bosnia. We look at Asia to the oppressed Tibetans or to South America, where the last large indigenous communities are being driven by force from their land. Their suffering arouses our deep sympathy and gives us no rest.
