As fellow organiser of the demonstration the Society for Threatened Peoples (GfbV) points to the right of the Tibetan people for protection of its identity, language, culture and traditions, for which the human rights organisation has been fighting untiringly for decades. The GfbV emphasises once again its support for the right of Tibet to regional self-government and autonomy within the bounds of the People’s Republic of China.
Together with the Tibet Initiative Deutschland e.V. (TID) and the Society of Tibetans in Germany (VTD) the Society for Threatened
Peoples (GfbV) is calling out to a large demonstration of solidarity with the Dalai Lama while he is in Berlin. The Dalai Lama is expected to attend the demonstration himself.
Time and place:
Monday, 19th May from 4 p.m. at the Brandenburger Tor in Berlin.
